Our story

Christopher Vadot, editor-in-chief of a Parisian newspaper, found himself dedicating too much time to maintaining the family home on the Île de Ré. In search of a local solution, he realized such a service did not exist. Faced with this realization, he took the initiative to change careers and founded Holiday Services in 2003, the first concierge agency on the Île de Ré. The goal of Holiday Services was to develop year-round services for owners of secondary homes on the island in the spirit of “Hotel at Home.
